About Elle…

Elle Stanion is a songwriter and recording artist with a background in cinema and visual media storytelling. She grew up in the Bay Area of California after leaving Boston shortly after her birth in 1996. From a young age her imagination ran wild with stories. Her love of storytelling took off one day in 4th grade with a decision: “Mom, I cannot go to school today, I have to write a novel.” She did not go to school that day. The rest is history.

She developed a love for music and sang throughout her childhood, developing an eclectic taste in artists, with the likes of Queen, Pink Floyd, Bleachers & Kimbra, amongst her favorites.

After college she shifted gears and picked up a guitar, following her passion for music, and the raw, evocative power of vocal storytelling.

She is currently working on an artist project in Nashville, TN and hopes that it will inspire others to follow what speaks to them, no matter how much they believe they cannot - and to never give up on themselves no matter how out of place they may feel. And lastly, she hopes for her songs to always, always remind you go to against the grain and be a little bit of a punk.
